Emmanuel Church in downtown Newport, Rhode Island, is a parish of the Episcopal Church. We invite you to browse through our website to learn about us as a congregation and to worship with us. We have a long tradition that has brought us to a vital present. Our programs and activities reflect our purpose and commitment as a community of faith centered in our communal worship, discipleship, and service. Spiritually nurtured as we gather around Christ in our midst, we grow in love and mission. If you are looking for a spiritual home, we welcome you to visit us. If you are intrigued by the Christian faith and wonder why others find its faith, practices and community life-giving, we invite you to visit us.
We have a strong attachment to our beautiful building, which was built in 1902 and is on the National Register of Historic Places, and we share it as much as we can with the community. It is open daily during the day for rest and prayer. Our pre-school is in session daily from September through June, and our office is open Tuesday through Friday from 9-1.
