January 2011: Emmanuel's Adult Parish Choir, now meeting Thursday Evenings, 6 - 8 P.M., is open to all ages High School & up and leads the congregation’s Sunday morning worship in hymn singing and liturgical service music. Along with Emmanuel's Royal School of Church Music Choristers, they

offer Psalms and one or more choral anthems, which come from a wide variety of historic musical styles and periods from early music to present-day spiritual and folk. All the music texts reflect the church season and illuminate the scripture readings of the day. Participation in the choir is a sacrifice of time, but it is not strenuous. Rather, it is highly rewarding and fun. Besides being religiously educational, choir singing is great aerobic exercise - reported to increase one’s life span. The Emmanuel Parish Choir sings every Sunday and at the Christmas Eve and Holy Week services. We look toward to offering Evensong soon as appropriate to the season.

The Emmanuel Choir & RSCM Choristers meet twice weekly as follows:

Fridays - Choristers 5 - 7:30 P.M.

Thursays - Emmanuel Adult Parish Choir 6 - 8 P.M.

Sunday morning Choir call is 8:45 A.M.

Rehearsal commences at 9:00 A.M.

45 minutes prior to Singing

The Eucharist at 10:00 A.M.
