Commitment

“and God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work.” 2 Corinthians. 9:9
Welcome to Commitment 2013! We are thrilled that you are with us at Emmanuel.
Beginning Sunday, October 14, you will hear stories from members of Emmanuel Church during our 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday morning services–stories of what God is doing in their lives, stories of what makes their hearts sing about being at Emmanuel. Not a day goes by when we don’t hear and see such stories of thankfulness in our spiritual home.
In thanksgiving for the many blessings we have been given in our lives, we have the great joy to return a portion of our blessings to God. We give back not out of a sense of obligation but out of a deep gratitude, continually fed by God’s grace, bursting into an outpouring of generosity.
And so, on November 11, 2012 with vestry members and this year’s Commitment 2013 chair Rick Marshall at the helm, you will be invited to make your pledge to the ministry of Emmanuel Church for the coming year. Pledge cards will be distributed during both morning services and received as part of our offering to God that same day. The enclosed worksheet may be used to assist you in calculating your pledge.
Will you join with us in being a generous giver as we commit ourselves to the ministry to which we have been called to serve? God invites us all to share the very best of our lives–our gifts, skills, talents, passions, and financial wealth–so we may honor God and promote God's ongoing work of reconciliation in the world through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Please set sail with us on November 11, and every Sunday, as we gather to thank God for all God’s manifold gifts and to tell amazing stories of what Jesus is doing in our lives. Don’t miss the opportunity to be changed and transformed by God’s grace!
