Emmanuel Angel Choir

A program of The Choir School of Newport County, Emmanuel Church and Emmanuel Day School:

Emmanuel Angel Choir

An Early Music Education Program for Ages 4-7

This program, led by Emmanuel Organist/Choirmaster Waylon Whitley, is modeled after a very popular children’s music program. It is held at Emmanuel Day School every Thursday from 4 P.M.- 4:30 P.M. It is open to EDS students, alumni and any child in the community who loves to sing! To learn more information about the Emmanuel Angel Choir please contact Jordan in the Emmanuel office at 401.847.0675 or admin@emmanuelnewport.org.

Weekly “Rehearsals”
We will gather weekly for Angel Choir in the library on Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. The only exceptions to this will be the week of Thanksgiving, when we will not have a rehearsal. Please make note of these dates in your calendars.

Angel Bucks and Store
At the end of each week’s rehearsal, your child will be receiving an Angel Buck for their attendance and participation. They can earn additional Angel Bucks for bringing their friends and for occasional extra tasks. The children can use their Angel Bucks to purchase items in the Angel Store for $1, $2, $5, and $10. This is a great opportunity to talk with your child about responsible spending and saving. It is also a fun way to reward them for their commitment and their help in recruiting new singers. We’ll plan to open the store every four to six weeks.

Performance Schedule
The Angel Choir is not technically a performance oriented ensemble; however, we do present musical offerings through EDS and to the congregation of Emmanuel Church on Sundays throughout the year and on Christmas Eve. Though participation in these services is not required, it is encouraged, as it’s a wonderful way for our young singers to display their talents and receive affirmation for their hard work.
