WEDNESDAY LENTEN SERIES:

Please join us for the Wednesday Lenten series “Loving Our Neighbors: “You Did It to Me” on Wednesdays from Feb. 14 through March 28. Each evening of reflection, conversation and a soup supper takes place in the Guild Room from 6:45 p.m.-8:15 p.m. The series features a book (please see Mother Anita for your copy) put together by our friends at Forward Movement (the authors of Day by Day), “The Social Justice Bible Challenge: A 40 Day Bible Challenge.” Here is their description of this book:

“Featuring forty days of reflections by spiritual leaders and writers from around the world, The Social Justice Bible Challenge is an extension of The Bible Challenge, a global initiative to encourage daily engagement with scripture and an exploration of the Word of God. Disciples wishing to spend more time engaging the Bible on topics from poverty, hunger, displacement, and the care of widows and orphans will have their cups filled over and over again by the words of Scripture and meditations fro m people across the Church who engage with these realities each and every day.”

The poor are on God’s heart and should be on ours. We are called to fight poverty and injustice wherever we find it.”

– the Rev’d Marek P. Zabriskie, founder of The Bible Challenge
